MANIFESTO FOR A THEATER OF UTOPIAS

Radical, foolish FRINGEFIGURE, hybrid creatures and MONSTERS, with a tendency to CREATURE.
Always representative of a humoristically initiated CHANGE of our existing world order: The stigmatization of the fool, negatively connoted by Christianity, has inspired us to our name and our artistic goal.
We want to REWRITE the term, rethink it, utopianize it. According to Christianity, Eve was the first (female) fool. Marginalized, outsider, rash - Now we are calling ourselves FOOLS. Tender fools. Like the medieval fools, we are trying to overthrow the exploitative system of capitalism that surrounds us all. How do we want that? With STORIES that inspire change in our social environment. With utopias, stories and experiences of community and togetherness. To do this, we need to start with our NARRATIVES. And in our dealings with others.

We want to this in our collective way of working and with the stories we want to spread, especially in European countries. We want to NETWORK with the places where we work, with the people, support communities, hold workshops, go to festivals. Theater connects. We want to use our networks and enter into utopian DIALOGUE with our fellow human beings.

Our theater collective tender fools I zärtliche närrinnen is made up of various professional cultural workers who have their artistic base in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Ireland. Like medieval fools, we want to try to spread stories and invent narratives that deal with the challenges of a new, utopian form of life and community.
